Beqa, Viti Levu Fiji 14/6-19/6

Beqa (pronounced Benga) island was the next stop. There we had the experience with being presented for the village chief and giving him kava for letting us anchor and snorkel on his premises. We got invited to come to the church on Sunday and so we did. Afterwords we were invited for lunch at the house of the oldest man in the village. To of the grandchildren had 3 years birthday so we got birthday cake also. With a little help they should cut the first piece themselves.

We snorkel at the reef in the entrance to the bay and it was beautiful with a lot of soft corals. Also a tour with the dingy to get a closer look at the mangrove. We could here only one bird singing in this special, quiet terrain.
